Some of our projects
Rio Alert
Squitter implemented the meteorological monitoring network for the city of Rio de Janeiro. This work included the deployment of the city’s network of weather stations, providing a specialized 24/7 meteorological monitoring team, and installing and operating the Sumaré Weather Radar, essential for storm monitoring. To this day, Squitter continues to provide weather monitoring services as well as maintenance and operation of the entire network, offering 24/7 technical support and ensuring high system availability.
Civil Defense of São Sebastião
Squitter also contributed to the implementation of high-power sirens for São Sebastião’s Civil Defense, a key project to enhance population safety during extreme weather events. These sirens were designed for efficient sound coverage, enabling clear and fast transmission of preventive alerts. This system strengthens civil defense response efforts, ensuring that residents in high-risk areas have sufficient time to take preventive measures.
Niteroi
For six years, We were responsible for the operation and maintenance of Niterói’s alert and alarm system, consisting of 37 sirens and 30 rain gauges. Additionally, the company installed the X-Band Weather Radar at the city park, a critical technology for nowcasting. Squitter continues to maintain and operate the radar, ensuring its high reliability and availability. This enables meteorologists and civil defense agents to monitor weather conditions in detail and issue rapid, effective alerts to the population during extreme events.
